What is MLAT?

MLAT is short for Modern Languages Admissions Test. It is a computer-based test which consists of 10 sections.

What is it used for?

Entry to certain undergraduate courses in modern languages, linguistics and their joint schools.

Which institutions use this test?

University of Oxford

Who do I enter the test with?

Most UK candidates in full-time education will be able to take the test at their own schools or colleges. Candidates not attending a school or college will need to find a centre where they can sit the test.

Registration opens on 15 August 2024 and closes on 4 October 2024.

When can I take the test?

22 October 2024
