Unfortunately, there isn't much time to attend open days before your UCAS deadline. However, September, October and November are usually the peak months for university open days.
Some universities will be hold smaller scale events during December and January.
If you missed an open day at a university you're interested in applying to, then contact them directly and ask if you can arrange a tour.
Although parents don't have to attend, university open days provide the opportunity for your child to gain a valuable insight into the universities they are considering applying to and pursuing their ambitions.
You may wish to go along to support them and help them think about any questions to ask that they might not have thought of.
It can also be useful for your child to get a second opinion of a university, too.
Yes, university open days are extremely useful! They offer a chance to look around the campus and help you narrow down your options.
You can also work out if you like the local area and the atmosphere, and whether you would be happy there.
