My major passions, which appeal to me, are computer science, economics, finance and mathematics, and in my opinion there is a creative combination among these varied disciplines.

I have engaged wholeheartedly in these areas both inside and outside of school, and I desire to actively partake in them at university through my chosen courses and extra activities. Studying these subjects in O and A-Levels has made me yearn to expand my knowledge of these fields.

My advanced mathematical skills have helped me excel in my chosen subjects by serving as a crucial base. I apply my mathematical knowledge and curiosity in solving various problems in my other subjects with amazing ease.

Economics fascinates me greatly. I come from a country where there is great disparity between the rich and poor. I want to explore the reasons behind nations' power, prosperity and poverty. Knowledge of Economics has also helped me in learning and eventually practicing Forex Trading.

I diligently follow world current affairs by reading various newspapers, magazines and websites like The New York Times, MIT Technology Review and Businessinsider.comto name a few. I also won first place medals in economics and accounting throughout my O-Levels.

Computing appeals to me greatly for we are living in the digital age and I want to innovate. I firmly believe that innovation leads to an improvement in the general standard of living. I first became interested in computing when I read Walter Isaacson's book on Steve Jobs.

Winning first place medals in computing every year in O-levels is a testament to my immense infatuation with computer science. In today's world software programming compliments everything.

For example, while practicing Forex trading my father and I learnt of the dire need to be able to program. Other traders were skilled in programming and therefore capable of developing unique indicators that were able to implement their trading strategies efficiently.

Moreover, in A1 I undertook a work experience at SeedOut, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping economically disadvantaged people in starting their own businesses through crowd funding. This made me realize how I can make a difference in a person's life.

I am passionate about these fields and I believe that they will keep on growing with time. I want to be an entrepreneur. My goal is to create my own business for I firmly believe that creating a job is better than finding one.
