University of Wales College of Medicine review

Definately a very fun, lively, friendly safe place to be!
Working with welsh patients who are proud of the medical school is a definate bonus because they are often more than happy to let you examine and talk to them, something you might not get at other universities. The hospital is very friendly and the staff are used to students.
During your first two years you will have the opportunity to mix with all types of students from Cardiff uni, something with was really important to me as i didn't want to just have friends who were medics (you talk shop nearly all the time so it's nice to have a bit of a change).
one of the the best things about Cardiff is that all the nightlife is in one area (good for pub/bar crawls)plus you have the infamous chippy lane! which is a whole road of chip and kebab shops and pizza places for clubbers late at night (until about 3am !
NOw heres a bit of advice should you decide to apply to UWCM and eventually recieve your offer, which no doubt! seems like along way off from now (i remember what it felt like submitting UCAS forms and waiting!!!) make sure that you put Taylbont (pref South)as your first choice for accommadation. I live in Taly and you are way ahead of any of the other halls, first you have a bar/club which is v. cheap and good, then you have the sports centre and to top it all off you 10mins from a massive tescos and macdonalds!!
