Classic Macaroni Salad

  • 40 g uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 25 ml mayonnaise
  • 6 ml distilled white vinegar
  • 15 g white sugar
  • 4 ml prepared yellow mustard
  • 0.9 g salt
  • 0.1 g ground black pepper
  • 1/8 large onion, chopped
  • 1/4 stalk celery, chopped
  • 1/8 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped


  • 3 g grated carrot
  • 2 g chopped pimento peppers

1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Place pasta in the pot, cook for 8 to 10 minutes, until al dente, and drain.

2. In a blender or food processor, blend the olive oil, white wine vinegar, basil, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper until smooth.

3. Take a large bowl and toss together the cooked pasta, dressing mixture, red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, orange bell pepper, tomato, and olives. Top with mozzarella cheese to serve.
