How do I start using UCAS Apply?

Go to the UCAS website to access the Apply system. Click Register/log in to Apply to start your application.

Once you start, you don't have to fill it all out at once - you can save your progress and come back to it later. Registering to use Apply involves adding your personal details, receiving a username, and setting a password and security questions.

Sections on the UCAS form include additional information, course choices, finance, education history (qualifications), employment history, personal statement and reference.

University admissions tutors will be looking for good qualifications, a well-written personal statement that shows enthusiasm and dedication to and knowledge of your chosen subject, and an excellent reference.

All of these will help you stand out from the crowd and give you a better chance of being offered a place at your selected universities.

Remember that you can only apply once during an application cycle, and if you applied in previous cycles, you will need to submit a new UCAS application.
