Welcome to Studential.com
Studential is a site I created to provide in depth information about going to university and the application process. There is information on personal statements, interviews and guides on various universities plus a whole lot more.

Useful student resources
Every couple of days I write a few words about a new or interesting site or piece of news on the internet related to students. See below for the current site, if you want to suggest a site to visit, or have your own opinions on a site I've visited or another site for students, then write something about it and you'll get it displayed here.
http://www.homesforstudents.co.uk/
HomesForStudents is one of the many student accommodation sites on the web, offering to pair students up with landlords for free. The main difference is it actually seems to have some properties available – over 1000 at last count. The idea is pretty simple: you go to the site, select your university or city, and the details about the sort of property you’re looking for and it will give you information about all the houses and landlords available. Selecting an individual property gives you loads of details about room sizes and facilities available – and also crucially tells you whether you’re signing a joint tenancy agreement or not – something I haven’t seen on student accommodation sites before.
There’s not much else on the site to help students though, just a very sparsely populated forum and not guides or advice on living in private accommodation. Overall though, it does exactly what it says, and if the landlord and property database is kept up to date it could prove a useful service.
When looking for private accommodation you’ll also want to check out your university’s accommodation office: many run a similar service for the local area and are likely to have a lot more properties than sites on the internet.
Studential forum
I get quite a few people asking me questions about university admissions and life at university so have compiled a little list of questions and answers on the Studential forum. If you have any questions, or think you can answer them better than I can, have a browse around the forum and post on any topic that catches your eye. Here are a few of the latest topics.
