Pretty much the end of the UCAS process

Today I got a letter from UCAS confirming my place at Essex. This was the AS18, also called the acceptance in clearing letter. All it really told me was that I had accepted and been accepted for this place and I could no longer try to find another place using UCAS.

I was also told to keep the letter, presumably it would be the one required to open a student account.

Now I was 100% sure I would be going to Essex, which was a bit of a relief after the frantic process of clearing. Presumably I would get a letter from Essex soon, also confirming my place and giving me more details.
