Get payment schedule letter

Today I got the payment schedule letter from the Student Loans Company, telling me when I would get my loan and how much. I was informed that I would need to take the payment schedule to Essex to register to claim the money, and that the first instalment would be by cheque. This was lucky as I was in the process of changing my bank account so wasn't sure what would happen if I was being paid by BACS (automated credit). Also enclosed was a form where I could update my bank details which I would need to do when I got my new ones from Barclays.
